Our Human Resources Policy

Soma Çimento, with a focus on people and nature, aims to be the best, even if not the largest, in the sectors it operates in. To this end, in its human resources policy, Soma Çimento has emphasized the importance of training for developing teams that are highly knowledgeable, continuously improving their skills, closely following technological advancements, and questioning them. This includes planning both internal and external training programs. This approach, supported by the principle of placing the right employee in the right job, positively reflects on our work outcomes and team collaborations.

Today, the workforce at Soma Çimento consists of highly educated, qualified, and professionally specialized employees in their respective fields. This workforce is continuously supported and strengthened through our focus on digitalization and the digitalization applications integrated into our HR processes.

Knowing that qualified workforce and digitalization alone cannot deliver maximum benefit in a structure where the source is human without collaboration and a sense of belonging, we bring all our organizations together under the secure roof of Soma Connects. The goal of our Human Resources policy is ;

* To establish and implement the system related to the determination, selection and recruitment of human resources that will enable our company to carry out its activities effectively and efficiently,

* To determine, implement and evaluate the results for the benefit of the company and to determine the training programs that aim to provide the knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviors required by our personnel to ensure that they do not fall behind from all kinds of developments and changes in the quality of their work, to increase task satisfaction, and to ensure that they are more successful in the business environment,

* To develop a performance management system that will allow the personnel to see the results of their own work, its outputs in a sense and to evaluate the results of their individual success,

* To establish and implement a career management system that ensures the continuous development of my staff within the organization, prepares itself for the responsibilities above its current position, and ensures the most effective evaluation of our employees at all levels who are willing to take responsibility,

* To collect information about the scope of the works to be carried out in the institution, human resource requirement and working conditions and to make job analyzes to evaluate this information, to prepare job descriptions in accordance with changing conditions,

* To develop systems that will encourage success and creativity by providing working conditions appropriate to the nature of the service carried out, in this context; to create ideas that will provide innovation by transforming all our stakeholders ( employees, customers, suppliers, shareholders, society ) into new systems and social interactions, to add value to the organization, employees and other stakeholders, to mobilize the potential of doing and being injured in people, to make their knowledge and experience available for the benefit of the company and employees, to increase the participation of all employees in company activities with creative and innovative self-reflections by motivating them through recognition and appreciation, and to ensure that creative ideas are implemented in the most effective way,

*Taking the opinions of the employees through surveys and similar means and directing the applications to be made,

* To ensure the formation of "Corporate Culture and Awareness" by meeting the social and cultural needs of the personnel,

* To create an understanding of sustainability in employees to meet today's needs in a way that does not reduce the resources of future generations. While planning their strategies, instead of focusing only on short-term solutions, to disseminate the awareness that will determine their goals to evaluate their environmental and socio-economic dimensions in order to create value in the long term,

To be respectful to people and the environment by focusing on ensuring occupational health and safety in our activities and protecting our natural environment, to develop systems to prevent occupational accidents. To increase the cooperation to be established with neighboring facilities , competent authorities and local governments in order to increase Health-Safety-Environment, to prioritize Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Factor in our project, to be structured in a way that can intervene in emergencies, to be transparent with our stakeholders in our practices.
